About this Event
Our speaker will be Dr. Erica Pan, the director and state public health officer for the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Prior to joining CDPH, Pan served multiple roles at the Alameda County Public Health Department and the San Francisco Department of Public Health.
Dr. Pan will share with us reflections about the Covid pandemic and the status of pandemic preparedness. She will then be joined in conversation with the San Francisco Chronicle’s Erin Allday, who was the senior journalist covering the Covid pandemic for the paper, and Brian Edwards-Tiekert, who, for nearly six years, has had a weekly radio show about the pandemic on KPFA.
The lecture, on the first floor of 2121 Berkeley Way West (Colloquia Classrooms 1102 & 1104), doors open at 3:00 p.m. with opening remarks at 3:30 p.m., followed by a reception at 4:30 p.m. The event is IN PERSON ONLY.
RSVP early as there is a 150-person room capacity. Deadline to secure your spot by Monday, March 22, 2026.
