About this Event
We’re Max and Hannah, and we’ve set up The Highland Circle to bring people together for real, face-to-face conversations - away from algorithms and the noise of online debates, helping us see each other as humans.
It can feel like our communities are becoming more divided, and there are fewer spaces where we can come together, face-to-face, and really talk to each other.
We know that the topic of immigration can spark strong opinions, and online debates - where we can't see one another as whole human beings - often make divisions worse. This event is about having a different kind of conversation.
The Highland Circle is a small, welcoming gathering where we’ll share a meal and have a guided conversation about immigration. You’ll sit with people who may see things differently from you, in a respectful space where everyone has the chance to speak and be heard.
This isn’t about arguing or changing minds – it’s about listening, understanding, and connecting as people.
To keep the conversation balanced, there are 15 places available, split into three groups:
- 5 tickets for those who feel immigration is mostly positive for the Highlands
- 5 tickets for those who feel it is mostly negative
- 5 tickets for those who are unsure or in between
Just select the option that applies to you after clicking the 'Reserve a spot' button on this page. It is one ticket per order and they are first come, first serve.
If you’re open to hearing different perspectives and having a real conversation, we’d love you to join us.
Please note: The event will be private - for ticket holders only. Photos will only be taken by the organisers and with consent.
