About this Event
Emma and Nicole are the hosts of the award-winning podcast Mixed Up, a series that explores race and identity through the lens of the mixed-race perspective. Their book, The Half Of It, lands this summer as an extension of the podcast, delving into their personal experiences, the history of mixed-race people across the globe, interracial relationships, adoption and the care system, the power of hair, pop culture and so much more. They’ve created a warm, inclusive space to share and connect and invite open conversation about how we shape our identity. Nicole is Ghanaian-Filipino and Emma is Jamaican-British (part German Swiss, part Cornish) heritage.
This event will be hosted by the wonderful writer, poet and academic, Iban, white New Zealander & Scottish, Dr Anna Sulan Masing and the delicious menu is by Chinese & Portugese chef Ana De Costa.
