The Guardsmen is a San Francisco-based, all-volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 1947. Our mission is to make a life-changing difference in the lives of under-resourced youth by providing access to educational and developmental opportunities. Through our Campership Program, we partner with accredited camps across the Bay Area to send thousands of children to safe, structured summer programs that foster leadership, resilience, and joy. Our Scholarship Program helps bridge the education gap by providing tuition assistance to help students attend private or parochial schools, giving them access to quality education and a pathway to long-term success.

What makes The Guardsmen unique is our volunteer membership model. Each year, a dedicated cohort of volunteer members—professionals from across the Bay Area—plan and execute year-round fundraising events, from tree lots to races to concerts, donating their time and energy to fuel our mission. This hands-on civic engagement model not only builds community, but also ensures that every dollar raised directly supports Bay Area children.
