The Pie Championship is back for 2023! And this year we also compete in Chicago! Join us Saturday, October 7th at Palomino in Milwaukee and Beard & Belly in Chicago to show us your pie skills and to celebrate the love of PIE!
Enter your handmade pies to compete for:
- BEST PIE LOCAL & REGIONAL INGREDIENTS
- BEST FRUIT PIE
- BEST CHOCOLATE PIE
- BEST DECORATED PIE
- BEST IN SHOW - MILWAUKEE & CHICAGO
- BEST IN THE MIDWEST
Pie drop off is Saturday, October 7th 10am-12pm at each location. Pie entries can be made by anyone! Young and old, individuals and families. Winners of their categories will be asked to share their recipes to be baked by the Honeypie Bakeshop to potentially featured as a Pies of the Month in 2024. Winners of Best in Show from Milwaukee and Chicago will move on to compete for Best in the Midwest in a virtual Pie-Off in January 2024. Pie judging will occur from 12pm-2pm. Spectators are welcome to watch the judging! (we cannot sell contestants' pies, but pie from Honeypie Bakeshop will be available ).
Winners will be announced around 3:00-3:30pm - at Palomino in Milwaukee and at Beard & Belly in Chicago - as well as via our social media channels.
PRIZES AWARDED in both cities for 1st, 2nd, 2rd places in each category as well as Best in Show and Best Decorated Pie. Winners will receive beautiful championship ribbons to display, a hand-printed Pie Championship poster, and a gift certificate to Honeypie (good at all PIE Inc cafes).
