@thegrandskatetour returns to Winchester on Saturday 25th April!There's a full day of activities planned and it's not to be missed!
Previous years have been a huge success and praised as one of, if not THE BEST stop of the season!

0830-1200 : Winchester Mass Ride 9!
Join over 600 cyclists of all ages one this amazing event, where 5 different routes from around the city converge into one critical mass around the city centre.
The Grand Skate Tour will be joining from the Colden Common route, meeting at 0830 for breakfast baps and coffee before rollout around 9am.
It's around 7miles and includes some hills and challenging surfaces.
Don't fancy the whole route? Check the details on the website and why not join later for a shorter distance, or select another published route?
Ends at Abbey Gardens in the city centre around 11am, where you will find refreshments, ice cream, cake and stands showcasing products and information.
Do not miss this epic spectacle! The whole route is marshalled.
Skaters ability needs to be at least intermediate and you remain responsible for your own safety. Under 18s with a responsible adult only.
1330-1530 : Inline Taster Sessions + Free Skate!
Want to try inline skating for the first time? Or tempted to return to it after a hiatus? Book in a FREE 30-min taster session, supported by Rollerblade. Suitable for all ages (sizes 11 junior to 11 adult) and complete novices.. the team will be on hand to help you get up and moving. Protective equipment provided, or bring your own. Pre-booking essential as places are limited!
Already got skates? Feel free to bring them along and The Grand Skate Tour team will help you, or simply have fun at the skatepark!
1545-1630 : Beginners Mile!
Got skates and want a taste of skating in a group on the streets? Join the beginners mile for a short loop around the quiet local roads. Fully marshalled.. the team will help you as much as they can, but you should be competent enough to stop, turn and navigate a few basic obstacles (kerbs etc) safely.
1900-2200 : Advanced Route!
Not for the feint-hearted! This 12 mile route around the city takes in some of Winchester's famous sights (and some less known), as well as tackles the ups and downs that Winchester topography provides!
You need to be able to maintain a decent pace over a long distance and very confident with roads, traffic, obstacles and tricky terrain. If in doubt, ask the team!
Lights essential.. protective equipment strongly recommended.
