Art in the Chapel
Set inside the beautiful chapel at The Gainsborough Bath Spa, Art in the Chapel is a relaxed two-hour creative experience , the perfect way to slow down, get inspired, and try something a little different.
You'll start with a glass of fizz and some nibbles before settling in for a talk from Flowers by Passion, who will walk you through their stunning seasonal floral display and share the story and artistry behind it.
From there, local Bath artist Emma Taylor will guide you through a gentle illustration workshop. Whether you've never picked up a sketchbook or you draw regularly, this is a lovely, no-pressure session to observe, sketch, and create in your own way, all within the most gorgeous setting.

Our host Emma Taylor
Emma is a self taught artist and illustrator based in the beautiful city of Bath in Somerset.
She has clients all over the world and is well known for her landscape and wildlife art illustrations as well as her mural work. She has also done several high profile commercial art mural commissions, book illustrations and animal portraits. The latest commission being a collaboration with fellow Bath Artist Jason Dorley-Brown for a mural at Bath’s renowned museum ‘No 1 Royal Crescent’.
She’s passionate about making art as accessible as possible to people, and has always been inspired by nature and landscapes.She was brought up in Scotland, went to school in the Lake District, and spent her time in the New Forest and Switzerland, so mountains and dramatic scenery have been very close to her heart. She lives in Bath with her husband, cocker spaniel and grumpy cat.
About Flowers by Passion
Flowers by Passion is a leading florist based near Bath, working with some of the South West's most loved country houses and boutique hotels.
The company was founded in 2001 by Johanne (Jo), who spent six years at a top London florist before setting up on her own in Bath. Since then, it has grown into a highly regarded studio known for its timeless, natural and effortlessly English style. Jo's work has been featured in publications including Martha Stewart, Hello, Brides, and World of Interiors.
The team brings together a wealth of experience across wedding and event floristry, with backgrounds spanning fine art, graphic design, and event management — giving their work a creative depth that goes beyond flowers alone. They are deeply inspired by the English countryside and the changing seasons, favouring garden roses, foliage, and seasonal blooms.
Alongside weddings and events, Flowers by Passion also offers hotel flowers, house flowers, and national next-day delivery across the UK.
