From molecule to medicine: New therapies for cancer, heart disease and global health with Sean Joseph, PhD
Discovering a promising new drug is only the beginning—bringing it safely to people requires overcoming the so-called “Valley of Death” between laboratory breakthroughs and the patient bedside. In this free Front Row lecture, Calibr-Skaggs’ vice president of translational science and early clinical development, Sean Joseph, will reveal the complex journey medicines take and how the institute bridges this gap. Joseph will highlight Calibr-Skagg’s expansive pipeline, from regenerative medicines that repair damaged lung and heart tissue, to cancer immunotherapies, to treatments for global health threats like tuberculosis and malaria—pairing Scripps Research’s world-class discovery with Calibr-Skaggs’ deep translational expertise.
