We are kicking off a new film series called Queen on Screen, each month we will watch a film featuring Queen Latifah and talk about it.
About this Event

The Free Black Women's Library is a grassroots funded literary hub, social site, Black Feminist archive, and community care space that features over 5000 books by Black women and Black non-binary folks, as well as a wide range of free public programs, special events, and creative workshops, a free store, period pantry, backyard garden, virtual reading club, and weekly book swap.

A monthly movie night featuring films and tc shows featuring Queen Latifah.
We will watch and discuss, please feel free to bring popcorn, treats and snacks to share.
Our film for December is LAST HOLIDAY of course. In 2026 we will watch SET IF OFF, BESSIE, CHICAGO, and so on. This is a fun light hearted event for building community. sharing space and talking about films, Black culture and the magnificent Dana Owens.
