About this Event
Most people who pick up rope for the first time focus on the technique. The knot. The pattern. Getting it right. What gets missed is everything underneath — the conversation happening between your hands, the presence it takes to actually be with someone while you tie, the connection to yourself that makes any of it meaningful.
This class teaches both.
You'll build the 8 foundational skills of Shibari — consent and check-ins, anatomy, emergency release, column ties, tension and touch, knot literacy, and rope harness work — while staying anchored in what makes rope a genuine practice: connection.
Who it's for: Complete beginners and practitioners ready to reset on solid ground.
Solo or with a partner — both are welcome.
Rope: Limited practice ropes available. Bring your own if you have it.

About Rorpheus
The name says it all. Like Orpheus descending into the underworld and returning transformed, Rorpeus stepped away from rope after 10 years of practice — and came back with something he didn't have before: clarity on what actually matters. Not the knot. The person you're with.
Rorpheus created *The Foundations of Rope* because too many people learn how to tie before they learn how to be present. This class is the course he wished had existed at the start.
