About this Event
Before Pilates becomes artful and seamless, it begins with awareness.
In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll return to the foundations — not as “beginner” work, but as the root system of the method.
You’ll explore how the mat and reformer share the same movement language — each exercise preparing you for the next, each one refining how your brain and body organize action.
Through hands-on guidance, gentle neuromovement explorations, and classical sequences, you’ll discover:
Why the foundational order matters
How the mat and reformer complement each other.
How to move from your center instead of your muscles. What it means to feel flow instead of forcing form and most importantly — when the foundation is missing, every class becomes a repetition of reminders and corrections.
The teacher never truly gets to see how the client moves thus the teacher can’t observe .
It’s only when the client knows the exercise that the teacher can finally guide them to the next layer of refinement and awareness.
Whether you’re a teacher or a lifelong mover, this workshop will deepen your understanding of the system — so you can embody the “why” behind every exercise.
Suitable for all levels.
