the FOLK DRAMA are Edinburgh songwriter Aaron Wright & Los Angeles songstress Violeta who swapped Palm trees for stone tenements, and never once complained about the light.They met in a Glasgow pub two days before lock down, quickly discovered a shared love of The Beach Boys, Arthur Lee & Pavement and formed the FOLK DRAMA.
Lockdown hit and they moved into a flat together in the west end of Glasgow where songs were written and demoed on an IPhone.
The duo have recently supported the likes of Pete Docherty & Babyshambles, Ben Ottewell (Gomez) and were in Paul Heaton’s (The Beautiful South) top songs of 2025.
Their new single ‘A Lesson In Letting Go’ is released on Monday 20th April via VF / Assai Recordings. (Available On CD / DDL)
