You are cordially invited to attend The First Step Screening, presented by the Social Justice Network (SJN) in partnership with Meridian Hill Films, Reform Alliance and Dream Corp. This events will take place on February 19th, 2023. All screenings will begin at 5 PM, Doors open at 4 PM at the DCTV Firehouse Cinema located at 87 Lafayette Street, New York, NY 10013.
The First Step screening will be hosted by The Social Justice Network, NYU Pr*son Education Program and the TPW Group. This documentary tells the story of a coalition of activists, celebrities, and politicians who came together to fight for those impacted by the criminal justice system. The film has received positive reviews from critics and has been screened at over 30 regional film festivals across the country.
This exclusive screening will kick off the national theatrical release and will be followed by showings in cities including Los Angeles, Washington DC, and more. SJN is partnering with organizations like yours to co-present the film and engage audiences on ways they can participate in the movement for criminal justice reform.
