The First Ring

Like a tree ring marking time, each year holds its own story. Our first year at Populus Seattle reflects one such ring, filled with energy, creativity, and a deep connection to place.

In that time, we’ve transformed the historic 1907 Westland Building into one of the first carbon-positive hotels in the United States, helping reimagine Seattle’s Pioneer Square RailSpur district through design, sustainability, and community. What was once part of the city’s past now actively shapes its future.

Along the way, we’ve been honored as Best Hotel by Seattle Magazine and received a Michelin Key, recognition of the experiences we’ve built together.

Now, we celebrate the formation of that first ring

Join us for a night that brings it all back to life. From 3 to 6 PM, taste your way through a collection of favorite first-year dishes and cocktails from Salt Harvest and Firn. From 6 to 8 PM, our Guest Services team will guide you through some of our most memorable spaces, reimagined for the evening, including tasting and hands-on crafting experiences.

Throughout the day, you can make reservations at Firn, where you’ll enjoy live DJ sets from La Mala Noche, along with unexpected moments and a few playful surprises along the way. Explore reservations here.
