Friday May 22 is World Goth Day, a day where the goth scene gets to celebrate its own being, and an opportunity to make its presence known to the rest of the world. It all started off as "Goth Day" in the UK back in 2009, but the following year it was introduced to the rest of the globe. Life on Mars will join in the celebration of and for all the dark denizens with its own showcase of goth music.DJ Coldheart will spin a comprehensive overview of goth, post-punk, darkwave, cold-wave, batcave, deathrock and other dark forms of music culled straight from his vinyl collection. Among the fan favorites, expect also deep cuts, obscure tracks, and current gems cloaked in darkness.

Bio: Since 2003, DJ Coldheart has been darkening Seattle-area clubs and events. He DJ'ed his first regular nights at the legendary club The Vogue, has done support for countless shows and one-offs, has made appearances on KEXP and KNHC, had goth residencies at clubs past and present, and has been a regular DJ at The Mercury for over 15 years. Having been going to goth clubs since the late 1980's he brings an extensive knowledge and collection to each night.
