About this Event
What if the most radical act of our time is simply remembering that we belong to each other?
This is the third gathering in The Explorer's Mind series, an invitation to expand your perspective, explore pioneering ideas and connect with those who are shaping the future from the inside out.
Meet Selma Uamusse — Mozambican singer, songwriter and performer who left behind an engineering degree to follow music as a vehicle for social transformation. Born in Maputo and based in Portugal, her work crosses gospel, soul, afrobeat and jazz, always rooted in African identity and animated by a belief in music's power to shift how we see one another.
Her TEDx talk explores ubuntu — the African philosophy that says: I am because we are — and what it offers a world hungry for new ways of being together.
The evening will include a live performance and a conversation about community, compassion and what it means to truly belong.
Come for the inspiration, stay for the music and leave with something that might just change how you see yourself in relation to others.
