The Endocrine System: Grasping Chronic Fatigue, Diabetes, Female Hormones & more
Would you like to learn more about the underlying reasons for health issues such as Chronic Fatigue? Hyper- and Hypo-thyroid disorders? Diabetes? PMS, Menopause and other female hormone-related health concerns?
Lean all of this and also learn about many herbs to help your body balance and recover from endocrine dysfunction.
This 4-week, endocrine-health module is packed with helpful information to introduce you to anatomy and physiology of endocrine structures in the body specifically from the standpoint of herbal medicine. This will include basic anatomy and physiology of the hypothalamus, thyroid, pituitary, adrenals and gonads.
Additionally, this class will cover some of the most common disorders (causes and reasons) of the endocrine system and will include a materia medica that must be learned consisting of approximately 20 related medicinal herbs.
Looking at ways to help balance the normal (healthy) aging process as well as helping the body cope with endocrine dysfunction will be part of the curriculum and we will look at a number of health and lifestyle concerns as related to both physiology and herbal medicine, such as:
· Hypo- and Hyperthyroidism related issues
· Menopause, PMS, Osteoporosis, PCOS
· Adrenal dysfunction, Chronic Fatigue
· Diabetes
Each pathophysiology module now includes an optional medicine making option for all students who want to participate. This will be an exercise that helps students to use their materia medica for the course and create a formula that is specific to what is learned in the course.
We will ship a small packet of herbs to US students who indicate they want to participate. International shipping is unavailable for these materials, international students will be provided with a list of herbs to source locally if desired.
COURSE INFORMATION
We will release course materials in our online classroom every Monday morning for 4 weeks. Handouts, videos of webinars, Q & A forum and a final quiz will all be accessible through the online classroom. Live classes with an instructor will be held weekly.
Dates: This 4 week course begins on August 5th, 2024. Registration will close on August 19th, 2024.
There is a 4-week grace period after the last class week, to allow ample time for downloading content and finishing the course test.

Pre-Requisites: none, although Introduction to Herbal Medicine is recommended.
