About this Event

A change is in the air. The End of the Beginning is upon us, and we want you to be a part of it. City of Dublin FET College Ballyfermot are hosting the annual end of year showcase and you won't want to miss what we have in store. Two nights full of artistic expression, varying from large scale soundscapes to intimate moments, controlled and chaotic.

Built and curated by graduates from one of the oldest modern music schools in Europe, these gigs will offer not only a glimpse of the next generation but also a snapshot of a truly international musical world view. From Balkan influenced pop to dreamy experimentation and soul baring songwriting, glitchy electronics to the last Seawolf, the two-night showcase will also feature a selection of debut acts selected by the headliners.

Since 1989, the annual Ballyfermot College Music Showcase has introduced artists like current RTE 2FM Rising artist Roe Byrne, Choice Music Prize ‘26 nominee Junior Brother, Damien Dempsey, Lisa O’Neill, Wallis Bird and Lucy Blue to wider audiences—creating unforgettable moments in some of Dublin’s most famous venues.

2026 line-up:

Dardo: A Dublin born wizard on the loop station, creating symphonies of chaotic bliss and pushing the very bounds of reality with a blend of vocal and instrumental dynamics that will leave your ears begging for more.

tetiana:

A Ukrainian songwriter whose work moves through a poetic and introspective style. Her songs explore emotional contrasts tenderness and strength, sadness and resilience - creating a sound that feels both intimate and universal. Having written multiple successful songs for major Ukrainian artists and catching the eye of Bryan E. Miller, tetiana’s music is destined to reach a wider audience.

Altmae:

Estonian-Finnish singer/songwriter blessed with a voice thousands can only dream of having, and a grace that has hypnotised audiences from here to Germany using soft but explosive melodies that regularly leaves people slack jawed and inspired.

Vėtra:

A Lithuanian singer/songwriter whose passion can barely be contained by the soft tones of the Kanklės, a traditional harp that she has played since childhood. Through her powerful voice and atmospheric songs, Vetra blends folk roots with contemporary songwriting, creating performances that feel intimate, emotional...and a little otherworldly.

Patrick Finnegan:

A Dublin born singer/songwriter who uses his past grievances with life and trauma to call forth something greater. With a thirst for life that escapes through the cracks in sombre lyrics, his melodies stay in the mind long after first hearing.

Andrei Yolkeen:

The rebellious pirate of rock is more myth than man, the very last seawolf of the planet. He has spent his whole life wandering the Baltic and northern seas and has just stepped off the ship onto the shores of Ireland to give an unforgettable performance. Every concert by Andrei Yolkeen is on the verge, on the edge, in one breath, bursting with left-field avant-garde. Armoured by the guitar, piercing vocals, and with his brothers and sisters-in-arms he strikes the audience with blatantly provocative sound and poetry - get ready for a fierce celebration!

The end of an opening chapter, the beginning of great stories.
