The Effects of the New Administration on the US Automotive Industry:
An Update
April 28, 2026
This conference will be a hybrid conference with options to attend in person or to view via a YouTube livestream.
How have the policies of the new administration affected the US automotive industry. This conference is a followup to last year's conference of the same name. Much has happened since our conference last April, and during this update, we'll hear from economists, manufacturers, suppliers, and automotive experts about their views on what has changed and how it is affecting current and future decisions. Some of the main questions we'll be discussing include the effects of tariffs, changes in emissions and fuel economy regulations, and the elimination of EV subsidies. How are these affecting manufacturer and supplier decision making now and over the next few years? We’re looking forward to a stimulating discussion of what the near term US auto industry will look like.
Confirmed Speakers include:
Bruce Belzowski, Managing Director, Automotive Futures will moderate the conference and provide an overview of the current trends in the industry.
Leila Aridi Afas, Vice President Global Public Policy and Strategy, Toyota Motor Corporation
