The Effects of Domestic Violence on Children
A Partnership for Change (APFC) is a New Jersey non-profit organization dedicated to ending intimate partner abuse through the provision of comprehensive education and awareness programs.
Goals for The Effects of Domestic Violence on Children:
- Define the effects of exposure to domestic violence on children from birth to 18 yrs.
- Identify effective intervention techniques to use with the child and non-offending parent
- Recognize the behaviors of the batterer and victim as parents
- Learn how to properly document incidents, develop safety plans, and identify resources for support
- Develop protocol for safe and effective response at the workplace, in schools, or at daycare centers, healthcare facilities, and faith-based or community organizations

PROFESSIONAL CREDITS
Anyone: 4 DVS (Domestic Violence Specialist) credits are awarded for EACH IPVA class (not currently available); credits authorized by the NJ Coalition to End Domestic Violence (NJCEDV).
Social Workers and LPCs: 4 non-clinical credits approved by the National Association of Social Workers -New Jersey (NASW-NJ)
