Hailing from the rugged landscape of Donegal, bassist Conor brings a trio of fantastic young musicians who are currently making a big impact on the scenes in London, Amsterdam and beyond. The trio will be playing original music, which while contemporary, has both beauty and tradition. This follows on from the success of the ‘Murray Brothers’ album released in 2021 on Lyte Records
Conor Murray:

26-year-old, Conor Murray grew up in rural County Donegal in a musical family. After having a chance to explore many instruments and styles of music he found a passion for jazz in his early teens. Conor has toured in Ireland, Britain, Europe, Russia and Morocco and had the opportunity to perform and share the stage with many international artists such as Tony Kofi, Jean Toussaint, Darren Beckett, Michael Kanan and Georgia Cecile Smith and at many festivals at home and abroad. Conor has studied with some of the world’s best bassists and educators including Ben Wolfe, Paul Sikivie, David Wong and John Goldsby.
Micheal Murray:

Micheal Murray is a 26 year old saxophonist hailing from Donegal, Ireland. Referred to as a 'rising star' of Irish jazz, he has performed with international artists such as Jason Rebello, Lucian Gray, Michael Kanan, Phil Robson and Meilana Gillard, and has studied with some of the world’s most renowned saxophonists and musicians such as Tommy Smith, Tim Price, Andy Middleton, Jaleel Shaw and Ben Van Gelder.
Jay Davis:
Jay Davis is an award-winning drummer and composer based in London. a proud recipient of the Yamaha Jazz scholar prize, jay studied with drummers Dave Walsh, Jeff Williams and Martin France at Leeds College Of Music and the Royal Academy Of Music respectively.
Jay has performed throughout the uk, europe and asia at festivals and venues including umbria jazzfestival, Jimmy Glass (Valencia), Jazzwerkstatt (Graz), Bimhuis (Amsterdam), die nato (Leipzig), Pizza express dean street (London) and Paradox (Tilburg). Jay plays in several creative projects as well as leading his own band Badtrad and contributing as co-leader to big bad wolf alongside Owen Dawson and Mike De Souza.
