A mind-bending journey of experimentation, laughter, and healing. Set in a vibrant and surreal venue, THE DOSE is a fully immersive psychedelic experience featuring a carefully curated line-up of some of the best comedians in the country (seen on HBO, Comedy Central, Late Night, Netflix, Don’t Tell, and more!).

At THE DOSE we facilitate the perfect set and setting for both the comedians and the audience to find the funny within their expanding minds. Our Master of Ceremonies and creator of THE DOSE is Steven Gillespie (CONAN, AMAZON PRIME), a nationally touring stand-up comedian and a psychedelic connoisseur.

Come take a trip with us as we transcend the ordinary, dance on the edges of perception, and explore the healing properties of our boundless imaginations. And also to just laugh and be silly :)

The show also features our very own DJ and she will play before, during, and sometimes even after the show! Don't miss the pre-show DJ set (starts at 7pm doors), its becoming more and more popular.

The General Admission ticket gives you guaranteed admission to the show, with seat selection on a first served basis the night of the show upon arrival.

VIP SEATING - $30 ONLINE ONLY

The VIP Seating ticket gives you a guaranteed seat at the event in the first three rows of the venue . Your seat will be reserved and held for you no matter what time you make it to the venue. If you want to sit with a group, make sure you buy all of the tickets in one order to guarantee that.

The space was originally built as a nickelodeon movie house in 1912, known at the time as the Ideal Theater. Throughout the century it has also been known as The World Theatre, The Navajo, and The Avalon, and also operated for a time as a Faith Temple Church, before closing in the 60’s and being converted into an appliance storage warehouse. In 1994 it was purchased by local artists Reed Weimer and Chandler Romeo, who incorporated it as a federal 501(c)(3) as “Bug Performance and Media Art Center” and named it The Bug Theatre, a tribute to the nickname the neighborhood kids used to have for the space – the “Bug House”.

Since then, The Bug has produced live theatrical performance, forums, classes, and acclaimed monthly showcases featuring local independent film, music and performing artists, as well as bringing national and international artworks to our local audiences in the form of film festivals and traveling artists. It has also served as a multi-functional venue that provides a gathering place for community meetings, workshops, benefits, and other artistic events. The Bug continues to work towards its original mission to make the arts accessible to artists and audiences of all means, with both rental rates and ticket prices below the market “norm” for a space of its kind.
