Director Jada Dixon will facilitate a pre-show lecture at the History Colorado Center to discuss the play Cullud Wattah. After the pre-show lecture we will walk to Curious Theatre Company for a performance of the play. The pre-show lecture will be from 6:00-7:00 PM and the performance begins at 7:30 PM. Pre-show snacks and beverages will be available at Curious Theatre Company starting at 7:00 PM. Featuring an all Black, female, and Colorado cast, we hope you will join us for a night of theatre, community, and learning.
Play Description: This time-bending play takes on the Flint Water Crisis and dives deep into the poisonous choices of the outside world, the contamination within, and how we make the best decisions for our families’ futures when there are no real, present options. This Regional Premiere features an intergenerational cast of all Black Women joined in song, in reckoning, and in ritual.
