Be among the first to experience our brand new walking tour: The Devil Strip. Take a journey through the streets of Transcona as we uncover its offbeat stories and hidden histories. From bootlegging and bank robberies to missing persons and a mysterious gargoyle, this tour has it all!
This walking tour explores historical events that include themes such as robberies, Prohibition and bootlegging, disappearances, murders, and prostitution. Some participants may find certain stories unsettling.

The tour departs from and finishes at the Transcona Museum (141 Regent Avenue West)
Stops include: The tour winds through Downtown Transcona and some residential areas. Featured stops include the Transcona Shops, local hotels, Memorial Park Circle, the former Central School, and more.
Staff will be wearing "Transcona Museum" branded clothing.

The tour winds through Downtown Transcona and some residential areas, along sidewalks, alleyways, and parking lots. Pavement and gravel may be uneven. We cross streets that do not have lights or signals to stop traffic. There are a few benches along the tour. The main street in Transcona is busy and loud at times. The tour will be given in English. The tour covers a looped distance of approx. 2 km from start to finish.
