About this Event
Illustration Programme at Camberwell College of Arts present The Office for Speculative Landscapes, a dynamic illustration festival at Camberwell Space, blending workshops, performances, talks, and discussions. Reimagined as a hybrid critical-illustration studio and arts-education think-tank, the space will foster experimentation, community, and creative play.
During this workshop we will be looking at the art of quilt making as a tool for storytelling, community and connection.
Using basic quilt making and applique techniques we will invite each participant to make their own felt quilt square, which will then become part of a larger collaborative album quilt.
No previous sewing or quilting skills required – support and all necessary will be provided.
Isabel and Peony will be sharing examples of their own textile based work, we invite you to also bring any textile projects you may be working on!
