North Carolina musicians The Deep Shallow Band released their new album, “Copy and Paste,” in the spring of 2023. Often described as “Southern soul rock and roll” reminiscent of the Allman Brothers Band and The Black Crowes, the group has enjoyed an enthusiastic following at their high-energy shows since 2014. Several performances have been scheduled to celebrate the new record, including an album release party on Sept. 23 at The Visulite Theatre in Charlotte.
The lineup includes Rusty Stevens (lead songwriter/vocalist and guitarist); Mike Vanhoy (guitar); Chip Cooper (lead guitar); Rob Conrad (bass, vocals); Trey Walker (drums); and Jackie Fallar (vocals). Its members have performed in a wealth of acclaimed regional bands including Satchel Foot, Cherry Bomb, Dahli Llama, Muscadine, New August, Right Turn Clyde, and Action Jaxxon, among others.
“Copy and Paste” was engineered and produced by renowned local artists/producers Jason Scavone (The Noises 10) and Mike Mitschele (Hardsoul Poets, Jolene, HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones”) at Sioux Sioux Studio in Charlotte. Guest performers include Jason Atkins, aka “Greazy Keyz” (keyboards) and Mitschele on guitar. The album is currently being streamed across all major platforms by Symphonic Distribution.
