About this Event
Welsh Labour has a claim to have been the world’s most successful democratic party. It has been the largest party in terms of votes and seats in Wales for a remarkable 28 success five UK general elections and, until now, had repeated that feat in every devolved election. That appears set to change with Labour trailing in third place behind Plaid Cymru and Reform in polling ahead of the next Senedd election. In this lecture, Richard Wyn Jones will draw on survey data in Wales and consider the future of Welsh politics after Labour hegemony.
