About this Event
Forget the pub and the man up bullsh*t.
This is not networking, it’s not group therapy, there's no space for awkward small talk, and there are no drinking games.
Instead, this is a night out with fellas who get it, featuring guest speakers, board games, decent tunes, VR headsets, and conversations that matter.
What it isn’t:
• It isn’t networking
• It isn’t group therapy
• It isn’t lukewarm coffee in a dusty church hall
• It isn’t awkward small talk or cheesy games
• It isn’t about pretending everything is fine.
Think about it, wouldn’t it be nice to have three hours of:
• Decent chat, and cracking tunes.
• Inspiring talks and Q&As with special guests and stand-up comedians
• Time to hang out with old and new mates
• Play VR and board games
• Space to get sh*t off your chest
• No awkward small talk
• Freedom to move around multiple breakout spaces as you like.
• We’ll also have breakout spaces staffed by wellness, mental health and physical health professionals for confidential chats.
This is for you if…
• You are fed up with not being able to or not being able to afford to socialise
• You miss catching up with the boys (or maybe you don’t really like most of your mates)
• You can’t remember the last time you met new friends
• You miss stand-up gigs, live music or just a proper night out
• You want to open up about how bloody hard life is, but never get the chance.

Fed up with not really having a social life or mates to talk to properly? You are not alone.
The older you get, the smaller your social circle becomes.
Babysitters cost a fortune. Hangovers hit harder. Old mates fade to Facebook likes. Too often, your social life ends up dictated by whoever your partner meets on the school run.
Fatherhood can be brutal as well as brilliant. And when dads ask for help, they often get brushed off or told to “suck it up.”
That is why Dad La Soul exists.
We reimagine men’s mental health with a Trojan Horse approach.
On the surface, it looks like a kick-ass social night.
Inside, it is a ready-made network of peers and experts where men can talk about the stuff they usually ignore.
Generally, on a lads’ night, you talk nonsense and pretend everything is fine.
With us, you laugh and then speak honestly about life, fatherhood and mental health.
We listen without prejudice; that, my friends, is something quite special.
Who is it for?
Dads and male-identifying carers, 16+, from all backgrounds and situations.
It doesn’t matter what your postcode is, your marital status, or the size of your bank balance.
Whether you’re married, single, co-parenting, or still figuring it out, you are welcome. (
