About this Event
Drop off your kids for some fun and social-emotional learning while you get a breather in the main service. Kids and adults are exploring the same theme this week: how one person can change everything around them
This week's lesson gives kids something really tangible and meaningful. They'll discover that creating change in the world doesn't take superpowers — it takes time, patience, and care. And it can start with something as small as a single seed.
🌺🌺Story/Lesson: This Sunday kids will spend time with The Curious Garden by Peter Brown, a beautiful story about a boy named Liam who discovers a forgotten patch of plants and slowly, carefully tends it into something that transforms his entire city. It's about noticing what needs care and deciding to do something about it.
🌱🌱Activity: Kids will take a walk around Unity to scout out the perfect spot for a real garden, then come back inside to plant their own seeds to watch grow week by week. Watching a kid hold a seed and take ownership of something living is really something special.
🪷🪷Mindfulness Practice of the Week: This week we're learning Dandelion Breath, a sweet and simple breathing practice where kids imagine blowing the fluffy seeds off a dandelion. It's calming, easy to remember, and kids can use it anywhere they need to slow down.
Come join us this Sunday 5/3 and take an hour for yourself while your kid(s) are learning and well taken care of! Care available for 0-3 year olds and lessons for 4-8 year olds. All are welcome!
