New Horizon Co-op proudly presents Community Table at Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre — an eight-week experiential supper series where food, history, and community meet.Each Wednesday evening, 20 guests (maximum) walk through our gardens and orchard, harvest fresh herbs, brew some Co-op Brand herbal tea, and share a full meal inspired by a rotating set of cultural food traditions.
Two Canada Summer Jobs students will curate and host each evening, sharing the story behind the ingredients, telling us how the same herbs and spices used in your meal are used across different cultures and traditions, and sending every guest home with a beverage jar and a recipe card.
Co-op’s support helps turn local harvest into a consistent, welcoming table that strengthens connection, reduces isolation, and keeps the price accessible at $5 per person.
