Special Guest Sylvia Keesmat - Entering the Wild: Creating a Food Forest

Info: Dr. Sylvia C. Keesmaat is an author, biblical scholar, activist, and farmer. She speaks frequently on topics related to the Bible and economic justice, climate catastrophe, gender justice, and Indigenous justice. Sylvia earned her permaculture design certificate in 2014 and speaks to horticultural societies and other groups about permaculture, forest gardening, and pollinator insects.

Special Guest Najeeb Siddiqui - Pollinator Garden Walking Tour

Info: Najeeb Siddiqui is an avid gardener who has been gardening for over 40 years. With a post-graduate degree in Plant Physiology & Biotechnology and a doctorate in Botany, Najeeb is well-versed in native plants, pollinator habitat development and management, and invasive species control. Najeeb contributes his expertise and passion as part of the team at Thorncliffe Park Urban Farmers.
