Q&A and book signing for Michael Gebert's book about Chicgo chefs and restaurant history, The Chicago Way: An Oral History of Chicago Dining, from Agate Publishing. Almost 200 chefs, staffers, critics, diners and more tell the story of Chicago's growth as one of the world's great restaurant cities and the rise of dining as one of the best things we do and talk about here.
Journalist Monica Eng (who's in the book!) will host a Q&A with Gebert, and there will be bites to eat from chef Carrie Nahabedian (also in the book!) and beverages from Peter Vestinos (Bisous, Sparrow). Your ticket includes a copy of the book, which Gebert will sign (additional copies available for $36.00 each).
