BRISTOL 1904 ARTS is delighted and thrilled to have Andy Leggett bring his band together to play for us.
Andy joined Bristol 1904 Arts, some years ago, as an Entertainer Member and is already one of our key regular jazz entertainers. He very often combines with others in '1904' to create stunning jazz sessions on Wednesday nights during our active October - April season.
But now Andy introduces his own band, the Centenary Serenaders.
The band was formed after The Sopranos Jazz Band disbanded in 2021 and the band was named to commemorate the centenary of the birth of jazz. It is fronted by Andy Leggett on clarinet and saxes and performs a classic jazz repertoire and arrangements often from Andy's time playing with Rod Mason's Jazz band in Germany.
Other players making up the six piece lineup are Dave Deakin on trombone, Rachel Hayward on guitar and banjo, together with Ceri Williams on trumpet, Bill Frampton on bass and Paul Archibald on drums/jazz percussion.
So we welcome Andy and his Centenary Serenaders band to Bristol 1904 Arts on Friday, 19th April 2024. It's going to be a great night of Jazzzzzzz !!! Don't miss it !!!

This event is open to both club members and the public but we are a small intimate venue - just 110 seats - so tickets are a first come, first served basis.
This music concert event will take place in our iconic Performance Hall by the Red Lodge, Park Row BS1 5LJ.
Open to club members and the public.
Doors Open: Through the Knot Garden (in Lodge Street) from 7:00pm on Friday,19th April, 2024.
Performance starts: 7:30 pm with one ~30 minute interval (2 halves of ~45 minutes)
Dress code: Smart Casual
Bar: Serving beers, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks
TICKETS: Members: £12 per person. Non-Members £15 per person. Available from Friday 8th March, 2024.
