Hey all,We're skipping the January Catweazle as I shall be away, but I'm delighted to announce that my special guest at February's Catweazle will be my dear old friend Renann.
Renann is one of those rare singer/songwriters who pulls you in from the first line — smart, soulful songs with gorgeous melodies and real emotional bite. Her debut album, produced by the brilliant João Carvalho, introduced her as a major talent: intimate and fearless. Renann’s music has earned serious love from the press — including NOW Magazine (cover/feature), along with praise from The Globe and Mail and Le Devoir — and she had a spot on the Toronto stop of Sarah McLachlan’s legendary Lilith Fair tour. Renann will be joined by longtime collaborator Darrell O'Dea (Staggered Crossing/Lost and Profound).
The date is Sunday February 22nd.
Doors open at 7pm and the open stage will begin at 7.30 so sign up to perform before then. Renann will play at around 9pm.
The Catweazle Club takes place at The Real Estate Shop at 1033 College Street. It's at the corner of College St. and Rusholme Park Crescent.
Please bring a cash donation of $15 to help cover the rent on the space and Renann's honorarium.
