Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre opens its Tarkington Season with THE CASKET GIRLS. This production features the spectacular, original music by award-winning composer, Cory Gabel, together with the powerful choreography of award-winning GHDT choreographer and Executive Artistic Director, Gregory Glade Hancock. THE CASKET GIRLS, based on an actual vampire legend from 1750, weaves a tale set in New Orleans over the course of two centuries which is filled with vampires, voodoo, nuns, romance, love, intrigue, and murder! To help populate the new world and bring civility, the King of France sends daughters of well-educated, well-bred families to the city of New Orleans. After a series of unusual events the legend of The Casket Girls is born, and the vampire history of New Orleans begins. Join us, if you dare.
