About this Event
This is one of the monthly guided community circle hosted by . Where grief is tended and death is cared.
This month's grief circle will be guided by Emma Weisfeld-Adams of and Alex Villar of Sound Murals.
What to expect
We’ll begin with a brief grounding meditation, a chance to arrive in the body and settle.
From there, we’ll move into circle, with time for gentle sharing, reflection, and connection around grief in all its forms. Whether your grief is recent or long-held, clear or hard to name, you are welcome here.
We’ll then transition into a guided sound meditation featuring a large traditional gong.
The gong offers a way of turning inward. Rather than trying to make sense of what we feel, it invites a more direct, embodied experience. The sound can help bring awareness to what’s moving beneath the surface, allowing emotion, sensation, or subtle shifts to arise and unfold in their own way.
This is not about fixing or resolving grief, but about making space for it to be felt, held, and gently moved.
What to bring
- Anything that helps you feel comfortable lying down or sitting (thre are plenty of yoga mats, blankets, and bolsters in the space)
- Water
- A journal, if you’d like
