Join us for "The Best Route 66 Celebration Ever", a one-of-a-kind event honoring the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and celebrating everything people love about America’s Main Street, also known as The Mother Road.
This will be an unforgettable gathering filled with music, energy, nostalgia, and community spirit. Whether you are a lifelong Route 66 fan, a lover of American culture, or simply looking for a fun and meaningful event to enjoy with family and friends, this celebration is designed for all ages.
What to expect:
- Games for all ages
- Live music from 7-piece brass band Chunky Hustle
- Tunes being spun by internationally recognized DJ Arturo Flores
- A special appearance by the World Famous USC Trojan Marching Band (the only marching band to have a Billboard Top 10 hit)
- Silent Disco fun so guests can dance the night away in a truly memorable way
- The newly opened Pasadena Institue of Art will be open for viewing its extensive collection. Inaugeral Exhibits include 'Politically Provocative' and 'The Bible Art Vault'
This event is going to be an absolute blast, but it's also more than a celebration. It is also an opportunity to make a real impact.
All proceeds will benefit Project H.O.O.D. (Helping Others Obtain Destiny), a Chicago-based nonprofit founded to help transform lives through education, mentorship, job readiness, youth programming, health and wellness, and violence prevention. Project H.O.O.D. is building an 85,000 square foot economic opportunity center at 66th and King Drive on the South Side of Chicago. This will provide greater access to resources, support, and long-term opportunity for the surrounding community. There will be an entrprenurial incubator, job training, after school tutoring amoung other critical service. The block where the opportunity center is being built was known as "The Deadliest Block in The World", where on this block, and in the surrounding area, ten people are shot happen every day.
