About this Event
The Consulate General of Switzerland in Vancouver, in partnership with SKY Switzerland, is pleased to present a special screening of THE BELONGING.
Taking place on the eve of the Switzerland vs. Canada FIFA World Cup 2026™ match in Vancouver, this event will bring together football fans, the Swiss community, and guests for an evening celebrating sport, identity, and belonging.
THE BELONGING follows the stories of Swiss football players Ivan Rakitić, Breel Embolo, Manuel Akanji, and Albian Hajdari, exploring their personal journeys, connection to Switzerland, and what belonging means on and off the pitch.
Guests will watch Episode 1 of the series, followed by a Q&A with special guests.
Event schedule:
6:30 p.m. — Doors open
7:00 p.m. — Opening remarks
7:05 p.m. — Screening of Episode 1
8:00 p.m. — Q&A with special guests
8:40 p.m. — Event concludes
The episode will be shown with English subtitles.
This event is open to the public and free to attend. Advance registration is required.
