Seminar Speakers:
Phillip Bate, Team Leader – South West & Midlands, Triodos Bank UK

Phill leads the regional team that supports businesses across Bristol and the South West. He is an experienced relationship manager and qualified accountant with a varied banking background. At Triodos, Phill’s team works with charities, social enterprises and sustainable businesses, enabling them to further their impact for people and planet. He’s enthusiastic about better ways of doing business and is proud that Triodos is a B Corp bank.


Jessica Vallentine, Head of Service Integration, Business West

Jessica is a transplanted Texan working with the Managing Director and Exec Board of Business West to implement the company’s vision and strategic direction. She leads on aligning and linking operations to meet Business West’s leadership and service goals, acting as a catalyst for continuous improvement measures and projects so that Business West can best deliver outstanding customer experience.


Matt Golding: Director at BCorp Rubber Republic and The Cutural Content Lab

Matt is a creative strategist, filmmaker and engagement expert specialising in shareable content that has reached millions of people to create deep engagement and inspire action. Currently focussed on tackling climate change, mental health, equality and unthinking consumption. Matt has lead projects for teams from Disney and Cancer Research UK through to the Youth Climate Strikers and XR. Most recently Matt lead the Wellcome Trusts content response to the Covid-19 pandemic.



Andy Hawkins, Founder of Business on Purpose:

Andy Hawkins, founder of Business on Purpose, has been in business for more than 20 years helping companies transform the way they work using technology.

He also spent 5 years doing community development in Africa and a further 5 years in environmental services.

These experiences are now helping clients assess and improve their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) utilising the B Corp process and B Impact Assessment.

Having supported dozens of clients across a range of sizes and sectors, as a B Leader he is well placed to provide support how, where and when it is needed.



Seminar Chairperson:
Martha Chillcott, PR and Communications Officer, Triodos Bank UK

Martha is an all-round organiser, project manager and communications enthusiast. She’s worked extensively in the event industry and has pioneered Triodos Bank UK’s approach to hybrid events over the last few years. Martha regularly chairs internal and external discussions at the bank and has worked with a wide variety of speakers. She is committed to working for positive change and has particular passion for the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda.


The Hybrid Conference:

The Hybrid Conference of 5 seminar and networking events will take place on the 21st September 2021 at The Bristol Hotel. The conference will also be held simultaneously online, where virtual attendees can network, ask questions and participate in the event.

About the Festival:

Just over five years on from the 2015 Paris Agreement at COP21 and with COP26 being hosted in Glasgow, the Festival will be a great opportunity to reflect on achievements. The Festival will showcase the innovative technologies and services available that will make the 2030 carbon neutrality goal a reality and will celebrate the businesses leading the way and inspiring the next generation.


Government guideline and pandemic dependent, this event will take place physically and virtually. Both options offer the full event experience, including networking and Q&A. Virtual attendees will need to B-Y-O-Refreshments!

If you purchase a physical ticket but the event is moved fully online, you can choose to have your ticket fully refunded or attend virtually with a partial-refund.
