Doors 7.30. The bands will be finished by 11pm and then an indiepop disco until 1am. A bit about the bands:
Cloud Studies
From South / East London, Cloud Studies was formed in 2024 and comprises of Adam Cresswell (of Saloon & Rodney Cromwell), graphic designer Martin J Langthorne on guitar, Adrian Taylor on guitar and Nat Guest on drums. The catalyst for their forming was that Adam and Martin needed something to do with the vast array of effects pedals that had amassed.
Their debut single ‘Ghosts’ was one for fans of The Cure, Beach Fossils, Cool Heat, Beach House or Galaxie 500. After releasing their home brewed, wonky guitar pop debut record, ‘Minnewater’ in 2013, they gave in to their inner disco ball and danced off into the world of synths.
Falling and Laughing
Falling and Laughing are an inventive indiepop two piece. Their songs are inspired by jangly C86 indie pop and that strong sense of melody and DIY ethos has followed them through their career. Over time the band have increasingly drawn on ideas from post-rock without ever losing that early sense of fun and brevity. They claim.
