The Artist's Role is an evening of live performance and connection inspired by Toni Cade Bambara's assertion that “...the role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible."
Experience the power of live poetry, music, and dance, as artists from across Philadelphia take the stage to showcase their work. Spanning diverse genres and mediums, each performance will explore the role artists play in their communities-- some offering a balm for our hearts, others helping us question the status quo, and others yet holding up a mirror to society.
