What to expect:

Join award winning storyteller and theatre maker Niall Moorjani for a workshop which explores oral storytelling. Delving into orality, narrative structure and its place in the modern world.

As part of Creating solidarities and eradicating silences: The Disabled Climate Justice Archive Project, 'The art of storytelling' is the first in a series of four creative workshops that use storytelling approaches to explore disabled and neurodivergent  knowledge, history and lived experience of climate change and activism across Scotland.

As part of YFOES work to develop and build a shared vision of solidarity for the future, this project aims to promote and build communities of solidarity between disabled people and their allies and tackle archival ‘silences’ and marginalisation of disabled communities.

After Niall's workshop, participants are invited to document their creative work (anonymously) to be included in an archive contributing to the preservation of our stories for and by our community - leaving evidence of our joy and our rage, the worlds we’re building and dismantling, through the care we offer to ourselves and each other.
