About this Event
Discover the art of slowing down through the timeless Japanese craft of Tsumami Zaiku, guided by Palette Japan Asia’s internationally certified Tsumami Zaiku Craft & Therapy trainers.
This special beginner-friendly workshop offers a mindful introduction to traditional Japanese flower-folding, made accessible through a unique tweezer-free technique. Using thoughtfully upcycled Japanese fabric inspired by the heritage of Sakai’s Chusen Dyeing tradition, you’ll transform delicate fabric pieces into your own elegant 2-in-1 floral accessory that can be worn as a hair clip or brooch — a meaningful keepsake handcrafted by you.
More than a craft session, this holistic experience blends creativity, mindfulness, and gentle therapeutic benefits. As you fold, shape, and create, you’ll enjoy the calming practice of working with your hands while giving beautiful fabric a new lease of life through zero-waste artistry.
Designed for ages 10 and above, this workshop is perfect for pairs — whether you join with a parent, child, sibling, friend, partner, or family member. It’s a beautiful opportunity to slow down together, connect meaningfully, and share in a creative wellness experience.
No prior experience is needed — simply bring your curiosity and enjoy a beautifully guided journey into art, stillness, and self-expression.
