We are very excited to host this exclusive artist’s talk with Tanza our featured artist for July! Join us for a discussion of the fascinating field of neuroaesthetics and how arts appreciation can be part of a vibrant social practice, grounded in the practice of Tanza J. Solis, our featured artist for July and an emerging artist whose paintings explore the sublime contours of consciousness through vivid, visceral imagery.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: In today's chaotic media landscape, sorting out truth from noise is more challenging than ever. Through the tumultuous roar of fake news, information overload, oppressive social tension, and looming disasters, we can find hope in one of humanity's oldest forms of joy: art appreciation. Through the arts, we can learn to pause, regulate our nervous system, and engage with the world through a fully embodied sensory experience that sets us up for moments of self-discovery and deep connection with others.
Accessibility: There are no stairs to enter the lobby level at Strut from the street level. The building has three floors, and there is a stairwell with handrails and a wheelchair-accessible elevator. There are 26 steps from the lobby to the 2nd floor and 48 steps from the lobby to the 3rd floor.
