About this Event
Networking can feel overwhelming - but that’s because it’s been framed as something transactional. REFRAME it as an ongoing practice of authentic relationship building and it feels very different. And effective relationship building begins with self-clarity.
When we’re clear on who we are, what we bring, and what we want others to know about us right now, networking becomes more natural, more human, and more sustainable—especially in an industry defined by change.
This interactive in-person workshop, hosted by Laura Fleury, reframes networking as the ongoing practice of authentic relationship building—and shows how clarity about who you are and what you want to be known for is foundational to career resilience. Designed for WICT members at every professional stage, the session helps participants articulate their professional story, ask powerful questions, and show up with confidence and self-awareness in both 1:1 and group settings. By connecting personal brand, authenticity, and relationship-building, the workshop equips women to build meaningful connections that endure through industry change, remote/hybrid work, and evolving roles.
Participants will:
● Reframe networking as relationship-building over time
● Clarify their authentic professional story (personal brand)
● Gain practical tools and tips for 1:1 and group conversations
● Feel more confident showing up in rooms again (or for the first time)
● Strengthen career resilience through deeper, more intentional connections
