About this Event
On June 25, the Centretown BIA is taking over the Ottawa Art Gallery for a one-night fundraising event in support of a community arts initiative in Centretown.
At the centre of the night is a live Art Battle, where local artists will be paired with youth from Operation Come Home to co-create original works in real time. The winning piece will go on to inspire a permanent public art installation in the neighbourhood.
This is more than an event. It’s an opportunity to be part of something that will live on in Centretown.
What to expect:
- A live Art Battle featuring local artists
- DJ Nycky and music throughout the evening
- A curated local vendor market
- Food included with your ticket
- A licensed bar + non-alcoholic beverages by Ananda Elixirs
- A poetry and visual installation exploring themes of mental health
As part of the evening, our Executive Director SabriNa Lemay’s book, Truth iN Motion, will be featured through a spoken word and visual installation. All proceeds from book sales will go directly toward the community arts initiative. If you’re unable to attend, purchasing a copy of the book is another meaningful way to support.
