Chi-Town Pitties, Inc. is joining The Anti-Cruelty Society for BARK at their new location for a day of fundraising, dogs, and fun! To spice up this year’s event, they are taking over new ground at Lincoln Park’s Grove 2. This means more space and more pups. Whether you want to kick off the morning with a 2-mile walk or just stop by for the Pooch Party, we hope to see you there! The Anti-Cruelty Society’s Annual BARK is Chicago’s oldest dog-friendly, outdoor fundraiser for the whole family. More than 1,200 dog lovers, canine companions, and people who want to help animals in need raise $250,000 to support ACS’s mission to build a healthy and happy community where pets and people thrive together. We welcome all animal enthusiasts including our adopters, foster families, and friends in celebrating our 124-year old history and community of caring.
In the months leading up to the Pooch Party, participants form their teams and raise money, gathering friends and funds to reach their goals – all culminating in a festival to celebrate everyone’s fundraising achievements. After the 2 mile walk, pups and their people can participate in a variety of fun activities including dog-friendly demonstrations, canine agility courses, pet-focused giveaways, carnival games, and family-friendly crafts. A variety of free food and beverages will be offered to attendees, humans and pups alike!
