About this Event
This April we’re joined by authors Linzey Corridon and Zane Koss at Sheridan College Hazel McCallion Campus! Immerse yourself in an evening of poetry and meet fellow book lovers while you're at it. Our talented lineup of writers will be reading excerpts from their latest works followed by a Q&A session and open mic.
Linzey Corridon is a mixed-race (Afro-Euro-Indo Caribbean) educator, and a Vincentian-Canadian poet and critic. He is the 2021 recipient of Canada’s Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship and is currently completing doctoral work on the nuances of the Queeribbean quotidian at McMaster University. His writing has been published in The Puritan, Kola, SX Salon, Hamilton Arts and Letters, Montreal Writes and more. He lives in Hamilton, Ontario.
Zane Koss is a poet, translator, arts worker, and lapsed academic living in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He is the author of Country Music and Harbour Grids (Invisible Publishing, 2025 and 2022) and the co-translator of Hugo García Manríquez’s Commonplace (Cardboard House, 2022), Karen Villeda’s String Theory (Cardboard House, 2025), and José Antonio Emmanuel's Anarchy Explained to Children with the North American Free Translation Agreement/No America Fraught Translation Argument (NAFTA). He was born and raised in the East Kootenays, B.C., and earned a doctorate at New York University.
