Our Special Guest 'Eddie Manu' is a dance artist from London who focuses mainly on modern and traditional forms of African dance. With roots from Ghana, he grew up immersed in the rich and diverse culture of his motherland, mostly played out at home and during social gatherings such as weddings, christenings and funerals. He was exposed to many different dance forms growing up but started to develop a solid dance foundation with traditional west African dance in 2014. He has since branched out into the increasingly popular dance styles associated with Afrobeats music, as well as inferences from commercial and street dance styles. His dance language is a totem of all the above with lots of energetic, graceful and explosive movements. Some of his credits include; dancing in music videos for Davido, Kuami Eugene, and Mr Eazi, choreographing for Wizkids sold out 2018 Afrorepublik concert in London and dancing for AdekunleGold’s 2022 ‘Catch Me If You Can’ tour also in London.
