IDENTIFY THE IMPULSE!
Designed for actors looking to refine their craft, this immersive 10-week program delves deep into the art of performance, impulse recognition, scene study and instrumental preparation. Whether you're an emerging talent or a seasoned performer, this course will challenge your skills and help you develop a powerful, authentic on-screen presence.
Classes will run EVERY SUNDAY, 2pm to 5pm each week, at The Cockpit, Marylebone (9 min walk from Edgware rd Station)
Over 10 weeks Actors will engage with key methodologies, drawing from Eric Morris’s approach to organic, emotion-driven performance, Ivana Chubbuck’s power-based acting techniques, and other proven methods to unlock deeper, more connected portrayals. Through intensive scene work, actors will explore character development, emotional truth, and the psychology behind compelling performances.
A strong emphasis on impulse based acting techniques ensures that participants learn to adapt their craft to both film and theatre, understanding subtleties in movement, expression, and presence. Rich will provide personalised feedback, helping actors build confidence and precision in their work.
From mastering the script to executing dynamic, truthful performances, this course is designed to give actors the tools to thrive in the industry, whether it be film, TV or theatre. If you're ready to take your craft to the next level, challenge yourself, and connect deeply with your characters, this 10-week journey is the perfect step forward.
